Brandon Young is the founder of BYoung Physical Therapy and a co-owner of The Running PTs and 8ctane Baseball. He leads the vision, growth, and culture of the organizations and is directly involved in shaping their direction and ongoing development. He is deeply committed to patient outcomes and overall patient experience, with a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement across all aspects of care.
Brandon brings over 20 years of experience in physical therapy and biomechanics, with a focus on shoulder and elbow injuries and the treatment of throwing athletes. He founded BYoung Physical Therapy with the goal of delivering a more effective and individualized approach to care. Early in his career, he worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, helping develop treatment strategies that were more efficient and less painful for patients. That experience established the foundation for how care is delivered across the organizations today.
He is widely recognized for his expertise in shoulder and elbow injuries and has spent years studying biomechanics and movement at a high level. While much of his work has focused on throwing athletes, that environment places high demands on the shoulder and elbow, often exposing underlying issues more clearly than almost any other activity. This has allowed him to develop a deeper understanding of how these injuries occur and how to treat them effectively across a wide range of patients. He has worked with athletes ranging from youth players to professional competitors, helping them return to activity and improve performance while reducing injury risk. His work in biomechanics and motion capture has been instrumental in the development of 8ctane Baseball and its approach to performance training.
As the organizations have grown, Brandon has transitioned out of a full time clinical role and now focuses on leading the business and developing the people within it. He is actively involved in hiring, mentoring, and educating staff, and plays a key role in reinforcing the standards, patient outcomes, and overall experience across all locations.
He remains actively involved in clinical decision making and complex cases, particularly involving the shoulder and elbow. He no longer maintains a regular caseload but remains involved clinically through consultation, oversight, and patient care when appropriate.

“Outstanding physical therapy and other services to keep you healthy and moving in whatever sport or activity you do. Brandon, Lee, and Erin are the best. Very accommodating hours, some nights and early mornings. Excellent and very clean facility in an easy location. Certified in dry needling and highly effective in using this. Recently added a truly incredible 3D running gait analysis system (with a highly trained physical therapist who specializes in this, Lee) so runners can finally get to the root of their problems by seeing computer generated images at every ankle and with extreme detail. I have been a runner for 30+ years and have always run high mileage. In spite of very few injuries, I plan to have the 3D analysis to help me run faster and to minimize injuries going forward.”
